Hello! I've been a ham radio operator since 1987. I grew up watching and listening to my father get on the radio and was always fascinated by his ability to communicate with people in far distant places. The glow of the tubes in his radio was magical at night as he talked around the world. My father passed away in 2013 and I miss him greatly. I owe a lot to him for introducing me to this hobby.
I LOVE technology and hardware. I've also gained a lot of satisfaction from communicating via morse code. That's probably why I've always enjoyed the challenge offered by low power operation. Building your own equipment from scratch or from a kit is very satisfying.
This site is dedicated to my father and will document some of my projects and things I learn.
